Our Mission

2 Pillars Church is a gospel-centered, missionally-focused church located in the heart of Lincoln.

We exist to make, mature, and unleash missionary disciples who live with gospel faithfulness to the glory of God.

Our Values

WE ARE GOSPEL-CENTERED.
Everything we do centers around the gospel (" good news" ) of Jesus' life, death, resurrection, reign, and rule.

WE LIVE DEPENDENTLY.
We are needy people, utterly dependent upon God's word and the indwelling power and presence of His Spirit.

WE CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER.
As the body of Christ, we are called to love and serve one another and carry out the "one anothers" of Scripture together.

WE SPEAK TRUTH IN LOVE.
We pursue unity, maturity, and purity by speaking the truth in love and boldly proclaiming the truth of the gospel.

WE EMBRACE THE MESS.
Living out the gospel, both in community and on mission, is often difficult and messy. We're okay with that.

WE FIGHT FOR JOY.
We seek to rejoice in suffering, life, and worship.

WE SEEK DEPTH.
We strive to move beyond the superficial, seeking depth in our communion with Christ, relationships, theology, worship, maturity, and cultural engagement.

Our Partnerships

As a church, we are partnered together on a larger scale with the Acts 29 Network as well as Converge Worldwide and The Omaha Regional Chapter of The Gospel Coalition.

Our Name

The name, 2 Pillars, originates from two Old Testament passages which describe the same event: 1 Kings 7:15-22 and 2 Chronicles 3:15-17. These two passages recount the two pillars that King Solomon constructed in front of the temple, naming them Jachin and Boaz. The name Jachin means “He establishes.” The name Boaz means “in Him is strength.”

2 Pillars Church only exists because God has established it. As Jesus continues His work by His Spirit through 2 Pillars Church, this name serves as a reminder that this whole thing was brought forth by Him alone and for Him alone. As 2 Pillars Church grows and as we grow as individuals, we must always remember that our strength is in Him who created us.
